One category is for those who need more info or reason to decide.
The other category is for those who know they would like to learn to play in a day.
Just imagine. If you are seated in front of a computer, smart phone, Kindle Fire, iPAD then you can hear almost instantly any music that has ever been created; by almost any player who has become famous or even popular. And for that I salute the technology I helped to create and impliment.

I predict that many Play in a Day graduates replace many of those popular players as time goes by. It’s only logical!
But, I think we are missing the joy of making fun with and sharing music. Most of us do not have time to take a break from life and enroll in Juliard. Nor should we. But we DO have time to exercise that urge that many of us have to play an instrument. ESPECIALLY IF WE CAN LEARN TO DO IT IN A DAY. And continue to learn to do it better each day at the same time that we are using that new found talent for practical joy and positive, profitable purposes.
I am thinking of a dad or mom who comes home tired. They put a toddler on one knee, a ukelele on the other and they make music together. Both find themselves rejuvenated. The parent has just created and played a song. Give that parent a few more minutes and words are added. A few more minutes and the child is singing along. A few more months and the child has a ukelele of her own and they are playing together. EVERYBODY PROFITS FROM THE EXPERIENCE.
The poet and the songwriter find that because they can play so easily they blend music into their poetry readings. Song lyrics are easier to create in play. I do that now. Preface a poem with some instrumental introduction. Add a big finish. Break up the middle.
Since PLAY IN A DAY makes playing so easy, the retiree at the elders club or home is enjoying tremendous sing alongs. And they are starting to pass the Yuke around. And some are going off to play for the more elderly elders.
And somewhere tonight a moonstruck romantic is going to take a walk with a lover and play that freshly written tribute to true love.
And the coffee houses are going to have to share some comedian space with the ukelele song marvel who has erupted in their midst and is on the way to being an idol.
And somewhere someone is going to enjoy solitude and sitting, watching the moon and stars and blending it all into the joy of creating sound they love to hear themselves play. And the dog lying there? Chances are the dog will like music if you do. And the dog might help you in the area of sensitivity.
